Much like astrology or feng shui, house numerology suggests your address carries an energetic “vibration” that can influence how your home feels—whether it’s peaceful and nurturing, adventurous and lively, or focused on abundance and success. While it’s all in good fun, it can also be a playful way to think about the character of the place you call home.

What Is Home Numerology?

Home numerology is based on the numbers in your street address. By adding those numbers together and reducing them to a single digit (1–9), you can uncover your home’s numerology number.

How to Calculate Your Home Number

Step 1: Add the digits in your street number.

Example: 2424

2 + 4 + 2 + 4 = 12
1 + 2 = 3

Your home is a 3 Home.

Step 2: Have a unit number? Add that too.

Example: 1785, Unit 201

Street number:
1 + 7 + 8 + 5 = 21
2 + 1 = 3

Unit number:
2 + 0 + 1 = 3

Combine them:
3 + 3 = 6

Your home is a 6 Home.

Step 3: If your address has a letter, convert it.

Use this chart:
